DSB Technologies maintains third-party registration to IATF 16949:2016 First Edition.

As an automotive quality management standard, IATF 16949 supports DSB’s focus on customer requirements, process control, product and process validation, and continual improvement.

Metallurgy

Our Metallurgical Lab contains equipment for both R&D and product and process validation. Capability highlights include: carbon analysis, compressibility & green strength verification, density and interconnected porosity, sieve analysis, micro-hardness testing, metallography sample preparation, tension and compression break testing, tensile testing, and microscope and image analysis software.

Metrology

There are 4 different Metrology Laboratory areas at our manufacturing campus. Metrology equipment highlights: 5 CMM Machines operating on CMM Manager software, optical comparators, rockwell hardness testers, keyence image measurement systems, contracers, and profilometers.

Measurement and Test Equipment

DSB Technologies has a comprehensive inventory of measurement and test equipment and scalable resources with our supply partners to support customer needs from R&D to product and process validation.

Integrated Systems

Using the latest in database technology, our process controls and control plans are tied directly to our ERP system, providing for direct entry of inspection and test data into part databases for real time capability analysis of processes. Our Program Management and APQP activities are also integrated into the ERP system, providing a roadmap, all appropriate checklists and gate reviews for successful new program launches.

Continuous Improvement

We have invested heavily in the tools of Lean Six Sigma to solve problems, resolve customer issues, and improve our processes. Lean Six Sigma is engrained in our Quality Culture and has been critical in helping us drive the continual improvement of our key business objectives.

ITAR Registered Manufacturer

DSB Technologies is a registered manufacturer under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations. Our registration supports work involving defense-related components and technical information subject to U.S. export controls.

DSB has established policies and procedures designed to protect sensitive technical data, control access to regulated information, and manage applicable production activities. This strengthens our ability to support customers in the defense, aerospace, and national security markets.

ITAR registration is one part of defense trade compliance and does not, by itself, grant export authorization or other export privileges.



Federal Firearms Badge

Federal Firearms License

DSB Technologies holds a Federal Firearms License issued by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Our FFL authorizes DSB to conduct applicable federally regulated firearms manufacturing activities, subject to the scope and terms of the license. Maintaining our license requires compliance with applicable ATF recordkeeping, security, operational, and other regulatory obligations.
