DSB Technologies Announces CEO Transition and Women-Owned Small Business Certification

DSB Technologies is pleased to announce two milestones that mark an important point in our company’s history. Kimberly Adamany has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer, becoming the second-generation leader of the company. DSB has also been certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) as a Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB).

The certification confirms that DSB meets the SBA’s ownership and control requirements for participation in the Women-Owned Small Business Federal Contract Program. David Baum, DSB’s founder and Kimberly’s father, has transitioned to Chairman of the Board and will remain actively involved in guiding the company's long-term direction.

"This company has been a big part of my life, and stepping into this position as a second-generation owner is both meaningful and a responsibility I take seriously," said Adamany.

For more than 40 years, DSB Technologies has manufactured precision components for customers in the automotive, defense, firearms, medical, and industrial markets. Our capabilities include powder metallurgy, metal injection molding (MIM), binder jet additive manufacturing, and porous metal solutions, underpinned by technical expertise, dependable production, and a devotion to quality.

What the WOSB Certification Means for DSB

The SBA's Women-Owned Small Business certification expands DSB's ability to pursue federal contracting opportunities and strengthens our presence within the government marketplace.

The certification provides several advantages, including:

  • Eligibility for WOSB set-aside contracts reserved for certified Women-Owned Small Businesses in eligible industries.
  • Expanded opportunities within the defense sector, including work with the Department of Defense and other federal agencies that maintain small business participation goals.
  • Greater visibility through the SBA's certification database and SAM.gov, where federal agencies and prime contractors identify qualified suppliers.
  • Support for supplier diversity initiatives by providing government agencies and prime contractors with a certified women-owned manufacturing partner.
  • Additional opportunities to grow our federal customer base and strengthen relationships across government contracting.

DSB is also pursuing certification through the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). The SBA's WOSB certification supports participation in federal contracting programs, while WBENC certification is widely recognized by Fortune 500 companies and commercial supplier diversity initiatives.

Together, these certifications position DSB to pursue growth opportunities in both the government and commercial sectors, further expanding our addressable market and reinforcing our commitment to long-term growth.
