To further expand its metallurgical processing portfolio, DSB Technologies has announced the purchase of an Arburg Allrounder multi-component molding press. The nearly all-electric press, complimented with full automation, will join DSB's growing fleet of new equipment in its technology center located in Janesville, Wisconsin.
This equipment addition follows DSB's recent investment in an ELNIK high-temperature refractory metal-lined vacuum furnace, which is slated for installation in September 2021. Both pieces of equipment allow DSB to immediately expand on its technology portfolio of advanced powder metallurgy, metal injection molding and metal 3D printing processes. The new Arburg molding cell will be dedicated to DSB's new technology center and will showcase fully automated hands-free molding, including all aspects of part handling and full material management from regrind to virgin material blending.
As DSB expands its technical offering of manufacturing solutions, it has also been adding key industry talent to support its growing customer base and market diversification. Among the new talent includes leading MIM industry experts with vast experience in highly complex applications for a broad range of markets including automotive, medical, industrial and consumer electronics. DSB is eager to continue investing in new production capabilities and talented engineering experts as future developments are announced.
The combination of new equipment, material development, and the company’s industry-leading talent allows DSB to target the diversification of both its technology portfolio and the markets it serves.
